The Masterlink Sessions artists 2024
In 2024 we invited new artists (rising UK star Rosie Frater-Taylor, 11-times-Grammy winning Phil Lassiter), created a stunning contemporary dance video with Antonia Latz and Leya Matulessy, released more W3 Funk (a regular at Ronnie Scott’s), naturally more Funkestra groove adventures, Tom Jones’ guitarist Scott McKeon impromptu jam, Amba Tremain in the footsteps of Prince/Rosie Gaines/Sinéad O’Connor , bringing together Hammond organ titans Dave Limina (chair of Berklee College of Music piano department) and Ross Stanley (widely regarded as the UK’s best Jazz organ player) and of course our annual Christmas show with Georgia Van Etten and Connor Selby, arguably our best one to date if not only for the amazing looking recording room which we kitted out with the help of a stage designer.

There are also a fair few Masterlink Sessions videos which we haven’t released in 2024. These will all trickle in in 2025! We can’t wait to share. With legendary guitarist Robben Ford for example – oh yes!
The Masterlink Session team
At the heart of team it is James Welch (Masterlink Productions), Leo Mansell (Shoot and Splice Films) and myself (Funkestra). We love the fact that we still as excited creating Masterlink Sessions as way back in the day, December 2018 to be precise.
We are naturally very pleased that YouTube has sent us their YouTube Silver creator award for over 100,000 subscribers. At the time of writing we have now 143,000 subscribers and we can describe ourselves now as ‘award-winning Masterlink Sessions’ which has a nice ring to it (and we can prove it:-)
We have expanded our team to get more help with all the different aspect of releasing videos and the respective audio tracks. Stacey Haber helps out with all our legal requirements and agreements, Alexej Baglietto is editing video and seeing to our socials as well as helping me with the RSB Records releases, Neil J Hart plays a big part in how everything looks as he is the don when it comes to graphic design, Rob Blackham is shooting most of our studio pics and Jesse Hoff is supplying us with his legendary Lazy J amps as well as helping us with anythig gizmo with a tube in it. What a team!
